David Wilkinson B Pharm M R Pharm S(Superintendent Pharmacist and Proprietor)
David qualified as a pharmacist in 1977 and initially managed Heath Pharmacy until 1992 when he became the proprietor. He is a former member of the Local Pharmaceutical Committee, Family Practitioner Committee and the Family Health Services Authority. In his spare time he likes to play squash, tennis and travel.
Amanda Smith B Pharm S(Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager)
Amanda first joined Heath Pharmacy as a pharmacy student in March 1995 and became a fully qualified pharmacist in 1997. She has worked at Heath Pharmacy since qualifying and is now the manager. She is a member of the Local Pharmaceutical Committee, representing West Yorkshire pharmacists. in her spare time she enjoys exercising and cake decorating.
Robert – Pharmacist.
Robert first joined Heath Pharmacy as a pharmacy student in March 1996. He qualified as a pharmacist in 1998 and worked as a locum pharmacist for 4 years before taking over the position of manager at Rowlands Pharmacy in Sowerby Bridge. He left Rowlands in 2012 and returned to work part-time at Heath Pharmacy. He is a keen landscape photographer.
Rachel Accuracy Checking Technician
Rachel has worked in pharmacy for the past 17 years. She began her training at Boots and worked her way up to NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Technician. She joined Heath Pharmacy in September 2014 and trained to be an Accuracy Checking Technician which means that she is now able to check prescriptions and dosette boxes, which helps the dispensary to run smoothly.
She enjoys baking and spending time with her family.
Denise Briscoe (Dispensary Assistant)
Denise joined Heath Pharmacy in May 2007 having previously worked in another pharmacy for 11 years. She has NVQ level 2 Dispensary Assistant qualification, and has also completed NVQ level 2 in Customer Service. Her main duties involve serving customers, dispensing prescriptions, answering the telephone and ordering stock.
In her spare time she likes to keep fit and dine out with friends.
Naomi Wainwright (Dispensary Assistant)
Naomi joined the pharmacy in November 2009. She has the NPA Interact Medicine Counter Assistant’s NVQ Level 1 and the NPA Interact Dispensary Assistant’s course NVQ Level 2. Her main duties include serving customers, dispensing prescriptions, answering the telephone and ordering stock. In her spare time she likes to jog, go shopping and go out with family and friends.
Helen (Dispenser)
Helen joined Heath Pharmacy in January 2013. She had previously worked at Lloyds Pharmacy in Sowerby Bridge where she qualified as I NVQ level 1 Medicines Counter Assistant. After joining Heath Pharmacy she was keen to gain a higher qualification and soon completed her NVQ level 2 Dispensing Assistant course. She likes to spend her spare time with family and friends.
May (Dispenser)
May joined Heath Pharmacy in March 2015. She previously worked for Rowlands Pharmacy in Brighouse for eight years where she gained her NVQ level 2 Dispensing Assistant qualification. Her duties include dispensing prescriptions, answering the telephone and filling weekly dosette boxes. In her spare time she enjoys walking, swimming, shopping and spending time with family.
Janine (Medicines Counter Assistant)
Janine has worked for the NHS for 34 years as a Pharmacy Technician in the Aseptic unit at Calderdale Royal infirmary. She retired from the hospital and came to work at Heath Pharmacy part-time in January 2015 on our medicine counter. She enjoys interacting with customers. In her spare time she is a keen runner and enjoys going to the gym.
Chloe (Medicines Counter Assistant)
Chloe has worked part-time at Heath Pharmacy since 2012 and has gained her NVQ level 1 Medicines Counter Assistant qualification. She is also studying sports nutrition at university. In her spare time she enjoys being active, shopping and spending time with friends and family.
Madeleine (Medicines Counter Assistant)
Madeleine joined Heath Pharmacy in 2014 and has completed her NVQ level 1 Medicines Counter Assistant course. She works here part-time whilst also completing her A-levels. in her spare time she enjoys shopping and going out with friends and family.
Louisa (Trainee Counter Assistant)
Louisa started working at Heath Pharmacy in January of 2016. She works part-time and is just starting to work towards her Medicines Counter Assistant qualification. In her spare time she likes to go to the gym, shopping, and spending time socialising with family and friends.
Gary (Delivery Driver)
Gary came to work as one of our delivery drivers in August 2013. He had retired from his work as a qualified management accountant,
David (J.D.) (Delivery Driver)
David, also known as J. D. started work at Heath Pharmacy in 2009. Before that he worked for the Ambulance Service as Paramedic for 43 years. He has two children and four grandchildren, and enjoys spending his free time with them. He also volunteers as a driver for the local hospice from time to time.
